While lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer identities generally relate to who a person is attracted to, the transgender experience relates to who a person is.

Use a person’s identified pronouns (she/her, he/him, they/them) rather than "preferred" pronouns, as they are not just preferred, but necessary.
