The story follows Takafumi Takaoka, whose uncle wakes up from a 17-year coma after being hit by a truck in 2000. It turns out the uncle was transported to a magical world called and has returned to modern-day Japan with his magical powers intact. Much of the comedy stems from the uncle's obsession with old-school SEGA games and his confusion regarding modern technology like smartphones and high-speed internet.
