The Defiant One " is the 12th episode of the first season of Stargate Atlantis , first airing in 2005. The episode is a self-contained, high-tension survival thriller that pits Major John Sheppard and Dr. Rodney McKay against a single, exceptionally powerful Wraith survivor.
The Wraith captures the team’s Puddle Jumper, though it cannot fly it without the Ancient gene. Sheppard is forced into a cat-and-mouse game across the desert to retake the ship while McKay stays to comfort the dying Dr. Gall. Martin Gero
