The film centers on the conflict between two brothers, Soren and Kludd.
: Soren and Kludd fall from their nest and are snatched by the Pure Ones, an elitist group of barn owls led by Metal Beak and his mate, Nyra.
: In the Pure Ones' stronghold, St. Aggie's , owlets are either trained as soldiers or brainwashed into slaves ("pickers"). Kludd joins the Pure Ones out of jealousy toward Soren, while Soren remains true to his father's stories of the Guardians.
: Produced by Animal Logic, the Australian studio behind Happy Feet . The animation is highly praised for its realistic depiction of feathers, water, and fire, as well as its dynamic action sequences. Themes and Critical Reception
: Helped by a rogue guard named Grimble , Soren escapes with a small elf owl named Gylfie. They journey to find the Great Tree of Ga'Hoole and enlist the Guardians to stop Metal Beak's plan to use "flecks" (magnetic particles) to disable other owls. Cast and Production
: Jim Sturgess (Soren), Ryan Kwanten (Kludd), Helen Mirren (Nyra), Joel Edgerton (Metal Beak), Geoffrey Rush (Ezylryb/Lyze of Kiel), Hugo Weaving (Noctus/Grimble), and David Wenham (Digger).
: Critics gave it mixed reviews, often praising the stunning visuals but finding the plot overly dense or rushed for its 90-minute runtime. It has since gained a cult following among fans of the book series and animation enthusiasts. Review: Legend of the Guardians – The Owls of Ga’Hoole
