(Lighthouse on the Sea) is a deeply emotional folk song released by Selçuk Balcı in 2011 as part of his debut album, Patika , under the Kalan Müzik label.

The chorus is a desperate plea for the beloved to run away together: "Gel kaçalum sevduğum dağlarun arkasindan" (Come, let's escape, my love, behind the mountains). This reflects a common theme in Black Sea folk culture where lovers seek refuge in the high, misty plateaus ( yayla ) to escape societal or familial pressures.

The lyrics use Black Sea geography—mist rising from the streams, mountains, and rocks—to mirror the narrator's internal state. The mist covering the mountains represents the obstacles blocking their path, while the narrator's tears "never stop" because of the pain caused by this love. Cultural Impact

Since its release, the song has become a modern classic of Turkish folk music. Its popularity led to several high-profile covers, most notably a duet version with Burcu Güneş in 2018, which further cemented its place as a staple of contemporary Black Sea "Halk" music.
