It is revealed through flashbacks that Teresa, James, and Pote faked her death to escape the drug business and Devon Finch's pursuit. They bribed morgue officials to substitute a fake body for cremation, allowing Teresa to escape on a boat she had on standby for years.
Pote kills Boaz Jimenez in a bloody knife fight, avenging King George, Kelly Anne, and Teresa. Before disappearing, Pote gives Marcel Dumas the waterfront property and returns the tequila bar to Chicho.
The finale picks up after the shocking cliffhanger where James Valdez seemingly kills Teresa.
