Set in 1967 Los Angeles, the story follows Alice Zander, a widowed mother who runs a fraudulent séance business with her two daughters, Lina and Doris. To bolster their act, Alice introduces a Ouija board, inadvertently inviting an authentic evil spirit into their home.
