Following the destruction of Mechagodzilla City, the surviving humans and their alien allies, the Bilusaludo and Exif, face total despair. While a political rift divides the survivors, the Exif priest manipulates the situation to summon King Ghidorah , a cosmic entity from a higher dimension. Unlike previous versions, this Ghidorah is presented as an ethereal "planet eater" that exists outside Earth's physics, making it nearly invincible to Godzilla’s attacks.
