The horror isn't just in the violence, but in the betrayal of Tony’s trust and the subsequent erasure of a man who had so much life left to live. It ends with the agonizing grief of Tony’s family as they realize he isn't coming home, highlighting the systemic failures of the police who ignored the disappearances of men from the LGBTQ+ and Black communities.
Eventually, Tony meets Jeffrey Dahmer at a club. Unlike many of Dahmer’s other interactions, their connection feels—on the surface—genuine and slow-burning. They spend time together, exchange notes to communicate, and Dahmer even appears to show a rare glimmer of human empathy. This "normalcy" makes the inevitable conclusion even more devastating.

The story follows Tony, a young Black man who is aspiring to be a model and is also deaf. Through a series of poignant, often silent sequences, we see his vibrant life in Madison and Milwaukee—his close-knit relationship with his mother, his dreams of success, and his nightly outings to gay bars with friends. The episode uses sound design brilliantly, often dropping into total silence or muffled tones to put the audience in Tony’s perspective.
