We are generating data at a rate faster than any generation in human history. We capture thousands of these files, yet many of them suffer a quiet fate: They live in the dark abyss of cloud storage. They are scrolled past, forgotten, and never renamed.

By pointing a lens and creating IMG_1252.MOV , we are desperately trying to freeze time. We pull a glowing screen between ourselves and the physical world, hoping that by digitizing the moment, we can keep it forever. Yet, in doing so, we often forget to simply be in the moment we are recording.

Our digital lives are largely defined by curation. We crop, filter, and caption our experiences to present a polished narrative to the world.
