This paper examines the intersection of digital fan labor, transmedia character adaptation, and legacy game engine manipulation through the lens of the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Ghost Rider Mod (Alpha 0.1 Final Edition 2021) developed by independent modder Sheraz Ahmad. Released over a decade and a half after the base game's initial launch, this mod highlights how active gaming communities use legacy software to express fan ownership of mainstream intellectual properties.
