Garbage - The World Is Not Enough (chilled Out Remix) -

The remix highlights Shirley Manson's "warbling croon," which fans often prefer for its intimacy compared to the high-drama delivery required for the film's opening sequence.

Due to legal reasons, the song (and its mixes) could not be recorded in a U.S. studio. Despite owning Smart Studios in Wisconsin, the band had to finalize and mix the tracks at Armoury Studios in Vancouver, Canada.

Butch Vig noted that this version preserved the melody but simplified the recording to focus on the drums, bass, and "ear-candy" percussive loops, making it sound more like a standard Garbage song.

The lyrics, written by Don Black (who also wrote "Diamonds Are Forever"), are told from the perspective of the film's villain, Elektra King .
