File: Shelter.zip ... Apr 2026

Why was Ellen White so passionate about keeping the seventh day of the week holy?

Does God consider one day of the week more special than the others? How are we to remember the Lord's Day? Some readers of Ellen White find it difficult to understand why Ellen White viewed the keeping of the seventh day as an issue of loyalty to God. Could it be that she was confused about the origin of the day of worship? Is it true that the solemnity of the seventh day has been transfered to the first day of the week?

The Seventh Day video series answers these questions and much more—and it may now be watched online, using the links below. Click the "More info..." links below for a more detailed description of each part. Start viewing part 1 now by clicking on the Watch Video link below.

The room around me began to pixelate at the edges. My bookshelf blurred into a smear of brown and white; the smell of rain—actual, ozone-heavy rain—started to leak from my cooling fans.

When the folder finally fell open, it wasn’t full of documents. It was a single application titled FrontDoor.exe . I double-clicked, and my monitor didn’t just show an image; it began to hum. A low, rhythmic thrumming that vibrated through my desk and into my marrow. On the screen, a cursor blinked in a command prompt. > DATA UNPACKED. WELCOME HOME.

The file had been sitting on my desktop for three days, a grey folder icon cinched tight with a digital zipper. It arrived with no subject line, just a 42-megabyte weight that felt heavier than it should. I right-clicked. Extract All. I looked back at the screen

Shelter.zip wasn't a file. It was an evacuation. And as the "Estimated Time Remaining" dropped to zero, I realized I wasn't sitting in front of a computer anymore.

The progress bar didn’t move in percentages; it moved in years. > INITIALIZING RECONSTRUCTION

I watched as my cramped apartment was slowly overwritten by the architecture of a house I hadn’t seen since I was six. The wallpaper crawled up my modern drywall like a digital vine, patterned with the faded yellow roses of my grandmother's hallway.
