The progress bar didn’t crawl; it lunged. 0% to 100% in a heartbeat. Usually, a 4K render took minutes, but this file was already sitting on his desktop, pulsing with a generic white icon.

The "cinematic" part of the title was an understatement. The sound design was hyper-realistic—the wet crunch of bone, the ragged breathing of someone standing right behind him. Elias spun around. His apartment was empty.

Elias tried to close the program, but his mouse cursor wouldn't move. The "very scary" intro wasn't ending; it was looping, and with every loop, the liquid logo seemed to be getting closer to the "glass" of the monitor. Suddenly, his webcam light flickered on.
