Leo tried to scream, but he no longer had a mouth to do it with. On the forum, a new thread appeared, posted from Leo’s account:

For the uninitiated, FaceKon was a niche underground community dedicated to extreme digital customization—users swapped custom boot skins, icon packs, and most importantly, "Personalities." A single file appeared: Konati.exe . No readme, no assets folder, just a blank white icon. Leo took a sip of lukewarm soda and double-clicked. Nothing happened. Leo tried to scream, but he no longer
The speakers crackled to life with a sound like a thousand dial-up modems screaming in unison. A voice, synthesized and cold, whispered through the static: "Face Konati successfully installed." No readme, no assets folder, just a blank white icon
"That’s way too small for a full skin pack," Leo muttered, his mouse hovering over the download button. He clicked. The progress bar blinked once and finished instantly.
Suddenly, his monitor went pitch black. In the reflection of the glass, Leo saw himself—but his face was wrong. His eyes were shifted two inches higher, and his mouth was a jagged line of static. He tried to touch his cheek, but his hand felt... smooth. Featureless.
He looked down at his keyboard. His fingers were becoming pixelated, dissolving into the very "Konati" code he had just downloaded.
