The film follows ( Liam Neeson ), a former NYPD detective turned unlicensed private investigator and recovering alcoholic. Scudder is hired by Kenny Kristo (Dan Stevens), a drug kingpin who seeks to find the men responsible for the brutal kidnapping and murder of his wife.
