The film is based on the life of Seyolo Zantoko , the father of French musician and comedian Kamini Zantoko , who also co-wrote the screenplay.

After graduating from medical school in Lille, (Marc Zinga) declines a position as the personal physician to Congolese dictator Mobutu Sese Seko. The film addresses institutional and social discrimination with a light, often humorous touch, showing how ignorance fuels prejudice. The film is based on the life of
