Two years after his first adventure, Arthur is staying with his grandparents for the holidays. After passing spiritual tests of harmony with nature assigned by the Bogo Matassalai tribe, Arthur receives a distress call carved into a grain of rice from a spider. Believing Princess Selenia is in danger, he returns to the Minimoy world, only to discover the message was a trap. The villainous Maltazard—now seven feet tall and intent on forming an army of giant henchmen—has escaped into the human world, leaving Arthur trapped at his Minimoy size.
