Peter Obi has officially transitioned from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) . This move is part of a broader "mega opposition alliance" aimed at challenging the ruling APC in 2027.

Aisha Yesufu, a long-time supporter of Obi, has also formally joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC) , picking up her membership card in January 2026.
